March 19 Transfer Updates

  • Hannah Gusters (6-5 RS JR center, Dallas, TX) entered the portal, out of Oklahoma State; 2023-24 stats: 14.3 PPG, 4.1 RPG; started college career at Baylor, then to LSU
  • Ashlyn Traylor-Walker (5-8 SO guard, Franklin, IN) entered the portal, out of Radford; 2023-24 stats: 16.0 PPG, 6.1 RPG, 2.4 APG; first-team All–Big South; sister of former Virginia Tech player Kayana Traylor
  • Caitlin Weimar (6-4 SR center, Cortlandt Manor, NY) has entered the portal, as a grad transfer out of Boston University; 2023-24 stats: 18.7 PPG, 10.6 RPG, 88 blocks; Patriot League POY and Defensive POY; spent her freshman year at Marist

Arkansas Lands Higginbottom 

Arkansas State transfer Izzy Higginbottom (5-7 JR guard, Batesville, AR) lands at Arkansas. She averaged 22.2 PPG in 2023-24, earning first-team All–Sun Belt honors. Higginbottom started her college career at Missouri.

  • Among the many who entered the transfer portal on the first day of the 45-day notification-of-transfer window: Kailyn Gilbert (Arizona), Jayda Johnson and Ally VanTimmeren (Boston College), Nani Falatea (BYU), Mary McMillan and Timia Ware (UCF), Ruby Whitehorn (Clemson), Izzi Zingaro (Iowa State), Nyah Leveretter and Maddie Scherr (Kentucky), Kristin Williams (UMass), Ally Stedman (Miami [FL]), Nyayongah Gony (Mississippi State), Jada Lee (Mount St. Mary’s), Alana Goodchild (Northwestern), Kennedy Fauntleroy (Oklahoma State), Jordan Obi (Penn), Holly Griffiths (Pepperdine), Erica Lafayette and Kaylene Smikle (Rutgers), Sahnya Jah (South Carolina), Noelani Cornfield (Southern Miss), and Tessa Towers and Sacia Vanderpool (Wisconsin).
  • One former player (Jersey Wolfenbarger) and two current players (Saylor Poffenbarger and Taliah Scott) entered the portal out of Arkansas.
  • Gracie Merkle (6-6 SO center, Mt. Washington, KY) entered the portal, out of Bellarmine; didn’t play in 2023-24 because of an injury; 2022-23 ASUN Freshman of the Year (15.1 PPG, 11.0 RPG, 72 blocks)
  • Valentina Saric (6-2 SO wing, Los Angeles, CA) entered the portal, out of Morehead State; played in seven games in 2023-24 stats: 8.3 PPG in 17.1 MPG (seven games), 48.1% three-point shooting. Since entering the portal, she’s heard from, among others, Cal, Cal State Bakersfield, Cal State Fullerton, Central Michigan, Fordham, Green Bay, Kennesaw State, Long Beach State, Louisiana Tech, Murray State, Penn, Presbyterian, Rhode Island, Rider, San Francisco, San José State, Stanford, and Vermont.

March 15 Transfer Updates

  • Alexis Whitfield (6-2 SR forward, West Hills, CA) has entered the portal, as a grad transfer out of UC Santa Barbara; 2023-24 stats: 15.1 PPG, 9.8 RPG; first-team All–Big West; started college career at Washington
  • Two starters at Mount St. Mary’s into the portal as grad transfers: Isabella Hunt, 5-10 SR forward, Johnstown, PA (8.8 PPG, 7.7 RPG, 2.5 APG) and Jessica Tomasetti, 5-5 SR combo guard, North Potomac, MD (13.5 PPG, 4.0 RPG, 2.0 APG)
  • Chandler Prater (5-11 SR guard, Kansas City, MO) has entered the portal, as a grad transfer out of Oklahoma State; played in just 5 games in 2023-24 (8.0 PPG, 6.0 RPG) before suffering a ruptured Achilles; started college career at Kansas

March 14 Transfer Updates

  • Second Clemson player into the portal following the coaching change: Nya Valentine (5-3 JR point guard, Mobile, AL), who was a juco All-American at Shelton State.
  • Two Loyola Marymount players into the portal as grad transfers: Cynthia Ezeja, 6-2 GR forward, Athens, Greece (2023-24 stats: 5.9 PPG, 4.5 RPG; previously at Pitt) and Amaya Oliver, 6-2 SR forward, Richmond, CA (2023-24 stats: 9.4 PPG, 5.9 RPG; previously at Southern Cal).
  • Alexsia Rose (5-7 SR point guard, Bloomfield, CT) is into the portal as a grad transfer out of UMass (2023-24 stats: 11.4 PPG, 2.3 RPG, 3.4 APG; previously at East Carolina).
