Ohio’s Miss Basketball, KK Bransford, leaving mark on dominant MND program (BVM Sports, 6/2/2021)
“Going into college, I just want to have a really good connection with the school I’m going to and have a family-oriented program. In college, I want to be challenged on and off the court and I want to go somewhere where you’re expected to be great. I would like to compete for a national championship.”
Bransford’s collegiate career may also be the springboard to a likely professional basketball career. Whether overseas or in the WNBA, playing at that level has always been in the star’s mind.
“I would really like to play professionally,” Bransford said. “I would like to play in the WNBA but would like to play overseas as well. I think the biggest thing for me to get there is development. Right now, yes, I feel like I’m a good player, but I feel like I have a lot of growing I can do and I don’t feel like I’m at a spot where I can’t get better anymore. There’s so much room to improve, it’s going to have to be a constant development and that’s what it will take to get to the WNBA.”

Scored 1,000th point in 47-41 regional final win over Fairmont. Two-time All-Ohioan dropped career-high 40 points on Gahanna Lincoln. Holds numerous offers including South Carolina, Ohio State, Xavier and Louisville.
Mount Notre Dame basketball standout KK Bransford is inspired by her brother (WCPO, 3/14/2019)
Bransford is used to being in the spotlight. She always played a grade ahead during competition. She played on a boys’ team in elementary school in Finneytown. BJ knows everything about her game. He knows when his sister will make a free throw.
“I played with boys growing up – it’s made me faster and stronger and being more mature on the court,” KK said.
