Out of Skylar Diggins’ shadow: Nationally ranked sisters pave their own path at Washington (Indianapolis Star, 1/30/2021)
Meanwhile, Reynolds calls Amiyah “super fast.” The sophomore is averaging 9.6 points, 8.2 rebounds, 7 assists, 4.3 steals and 1.4 blocks per game. She’s ranked No. 10 nationally in her class by ESPN.
“Being competitive, my oldest sister definitely made me a lot tougher, physically and mentally,” Reynolds said. “(I try) not letting her get in my head if I’m winning or losing. Her being bigger than me definitely takes a toll on the body, but it definitely makes me a lot better physically.”
Mila jokes that she isn’t always a fan of taking orders from her younger sister, who plays point guard. But Mila says Amiyah’s best trait doesn’t show up in the box score.
“She can jump out of the gym,” the junior said. “The thing I love watching the most is her jump shot. She’ll shoot and I just look up.”
