Iowa State transfer Denae Fritz (5-11 SO combo guard, Maryville, TN) says she’s looking for a program with a “faster-paced offense.”

After the season, Fritz said she went home to Tennessee and sat down with her family to talk about her future plans. Fritz said she decided she needed to “find a better fit offensively for my game to take it to the next level.”

What is Fritz looking for?

“A faster-paced offense,” she said. “That’s all I’m going to say.”

Averee Kleinhans (5-9 RS FR guard, Nocona, TX) has entered her name into the transfer portal, out of Northern Colorado, seeking to get closer to home.

The guard averaged 8.5 points and 4.7 rebounds per game. She put up a career-high 16 points against Idaho in January and 12 rebounds in November against Colorado State.

North Carolina transfer Kennedy Todd-Williams (6-0 JR guard, Jacksonville, NC) announces her commitment to Ole Miss.

A D-II honorable mention All-American is in the portal, out of Missouri Southern: Lacy Stokes (5-4 SO point guard, Mount Vernon, MO), who averaged 17.3 points, 5.2 assists, 4.1 rebounds, and 2.4 steals per game over the 2022-23 season. She’s seeking to move to a D-I school.

“I’ve had a dream since I was a little girl, like every little basketball player does, to try and play at the Division I level,” Stokes said. “I feel like when I graduated high school, those doors were kind of shut for me. After these two years, they’ve been kind of reopened. I don’t know how I could look younger me in the face and say, ‘The opportunity is there, but I’m not going to take it.’”

Lauren Hansen (5-8 SR guard, Long Island, NY) has entered her name into the transfer portal, out of Missouri. She spent her freshman year at Auburn. Presumably, she’s a grad transfer, so she’ll be able to play right away next season at a new school.

Hansen transferred to MU from Auburn and has played in 84 games as a Tiger, starting 62.

She became a regular starter in the 2021-2022 season, averaging 10.9 points per game. Hansen finishes her MU career with 889 points, averaging 10.6 points per game.

Marta Suárez (6-3 RS SO guard/forward, Oviedo, Spain) announces that she’s entering her name into the transfer portal, out of Tennessee. In January she stepped away from basketball temporarily for personal reasons and returned to Spain. Suárez earned SEC All-Freshman Team honors in 2020-21 but then missed the 2021-22 season with a foot injury.
