Alabama

  • junior forward Ruth Koang, a juco transfer, is out for the 2020-21 season with a torn ACL (press release)

Albany

  • redshirt freshman guard Morgan Haney will miss the 2020-21 season after retearing the ACL she was rehabbing after tearing it last season; three transfer additions—Ellen Hahne, Grace Heeps, and Fatima Lee—are all awaiting word on transfer waiver requests (source)
  • all of Albany’s athletics activities have been “suspended indefinitely” following a “signifcant spike” in COVID-19 cases (Nov. 9 article)
  • redshirt senior guard Khepera Stokes will miss the season because of a hip injury that requires surgery (noted in this article)

Alcorn State

  • a freshman not previously announced as signing with Alcorn: Quintasia Leatherwood, 5-2 G, Central HS (Tuscaloosa, AL); per her bio, during her senior year in high school, she “led the nation with 12.8 assists per game”

Arizona State

  • freshman forward Keeli Burton-Oliver “is likely to redshirt due to a pre-existing condition,” per this article, which also notes other players working their way back from off-season injuries or surgeries

Arkansas

  • freshman guard Elauna Eaton, the Razorbacks’ top incoming recruit, has suffered a torn ACL and is out for the season (see this tweet)

Arkansas State

  • Aniya Finger, 6-1 W, Hopewell HS (Huntersville, NC), had signed with the Red Wolves in the fall of 2019 as part of their 2020 class, but she decommitted in March and is now listed on the 2020-21 roster of Winston-Salem State (D-II)

Army

  • Two players—Lindsey Scamman and Kamryn Hall—will likely to miss the entire 2020-21 season after their off-season surgeries were delayed by COVID hospital restrictions (source)
  • the Black Knights’ 2020-21 roster includes six freshmen, but not Katherine “Kate” Goostrey, 5-7 G, Rosary Academy (Fullerton, CA), who had reported committed in September 2019

Auburn

  • UNLV transfer Isis Beh (6-3 FR forward, Murray, UT) was reportedly transferring to Auburn, but she is not listed on their 2020-21 roster
  • the Tigers’ roster lists one additional freshman: Carsen McFadden, 5-7 G, Lovejoy HS (Lucas, TX)

Austin Peay

  • three players—Ella Sawyer, Kasey Kidwell, and Tahanee Bennell—have been indefinitely suspended; Kidwell has been arrested and charged with shoplifting (source)

Baylor

  • seniors DiDi Richards and Moon Ursin suffered injuries from a collision in practice, with Richards out indefinitely and Ursin in concussion protocol (source)
  • 11/2 article with update on Richards and Ursin: Richards “plans to be back on the court this season, though Lady Bears trainer Alex Olson and head coach Kim Mulkey aren’t going to rush her”

Bethune-Cookman

  • the university announces it will not compete in any sports during the 2020-21 season, citing the “recent spike in COVID-19 positivity rates in the state, across Volusia County and on our campus” (source)
