2019 Class: Recruiting News/Updates, April 2019


Former Virginia Tech player Sierra Votaw has signed with Mercer (Southern) as a juco transfer. She played for Eastern Florida State College during the 2018-19 season.

Votaw is the fifth newcomer that Gardner and her staff have added for the 2019-20 season, joining fellow transfer Kiana Barkhoff – who joined the team this past spring – and three incoming freshmen, Jill Harris, Jordan McLaughlin and PJ Wintermyer. Votaw has three years of eligibility remaining.

Votaw averaged 12.5 points and 7.1 rebounds per game while earning All-Suncoast Conference First Team honors at Eastern Florida State College. She shot 51.6 percent from the field and 75 percent from the free-throw line.

Eternati Willock, 6-4 juco sophomore center, New Mexico JC, has reportedly committed to Middle Tennessee (C-USA). She started her college career at Kansas State but was dismissed from the team.

Willock, who committed on Tuesday, will join a recruiting class headlined by Anastasia Hayes, her sister Aislynn Hayes and Rellah Boothe. Willock will have two seasons of eligibility remaining.

Willock, a 6-foot-4 post player, averaged 12.5 points and 7.4 rebounds for New Mexico Junior College this season.

Shemera Williams, 5-9 CG, Milwaukee Academy of Science (WI): will visit Kentucky this weekend. They were in her final six during her original recruitment but did not make the cut to her final three. A previous report suggested that Missouri is also in the mix.

Williams recently reopened her recruitment following the coaching change at Marquette, her original choice. She’s ranked #54 in the 2019 class by espnW.
