2019 Class: Recruiting News/Updates, April 2019


North Carolina Central (MEAC) announces four additions to their 2019 recruiting class: Madalyn Anderson, Promise Cunningham, Khadija Demry, and Nyasia Palmer.

Head coach Trisha Stafford-Odom has announced Madalyn Anderson, Promise Cunningham, Khadija Demry and Nyasia Palmer have all signed their National Letter of Intent (NLI) to play basketball and study at North Carolina Central University in 2019-20.

The quartet rounds out a signing class of five after Stafford-Odom inked Anissa Rivera during the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Early Signing Period (Rivera Release).

Minnesota adds a juco transfer to its 2019 recruiting class: Maryia “Masha” Adashchyk, a 5-11 guard out of Panola College, originally from Minsk, Belarus.

A 5’11 guard from Minsk, Belarus, Adashchyk has spent the last two seasons playing for Panola College in Carthage, Texas. She averaged 12.7 points, 5.2 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.4 steals per contest in her two seasons and helped the Fillies reach the NJCAA Division I Women’s Basketball Championship in her freshman campaign.

Maine (American East) announces the official signings of Anna Kahelin and Abbe Laurence.

University of Maine women’s basketball has announced the additions of Anna Kahelin and Abbe Laurence for the 2019-20 season.

Kahelin, a 5-11 guard from Helsinki, Finland and Laurence, a 6-2 forward from Greenland, N.H., will both be eligible to join the Black Bears in the fall of 2019.

Roxane Makolo, a 5-10 guard out of Dawson College in Montreal, has committed to Purdue, becoming the third member of their 2019 recruiting class. She’s originally from Congo.

Makolo attends Dawson College in Montreal, the same school that produced current Boilermakers Tamara Farquhar and Leony Boudreau. Makolo and her family officially visited Purdue about 10 days ago.

“It was the right place, the right people and I just really liked my visit when I was there,” Makolo said. “I had a good time with the coaches and the players and the people inside and outside the basketball program.”

Natasha Mack (6-4 juco sophomore center, Angelina College) has taken her final official visit, to Virginia Tech. Her other finalists are Missouri, Oklahoma State, St. John’s, and Wichita State.
