A D-II honorable mention All-American is in the portal, out of Missouri Southern: Lacy Stokes (5-4 SO point guard, Mount Vernon, MO), who averaged 17.3 points, 5.2 assists, 4.1 rebounds, and 2.4 steals per game over the 2022-23 season. She’s seeking to move to a D-I school.

“I’ve had a dream since I was a little girl, like every little basketball player does, to try and play at the Division I level,” Stokes said. “I feel like when I graduated high school, those doors were kind of shut for me. After these two years, they’ve been kind of reopened. I don’t know how I could look younger me in the face and say, ‘The opportunity is there, but I’m not going to take it.’”

Lauren Hansen (5-8 SR guard, Long Island, NY) has entered her name into the transfer portal, out of Missouri. She spent her freshman year at Auburn. Presumably, she’s a grad transfer, so she’ll be able to play right away next season at a new school.

Hansen transferred to MU from Auburn and has played in 84 games as a Tiger, starting 62.

She became a regular starter in the 2021-2022 season, averaging 10.9 points per game. Hansen finishes her MU career with 889 points, averaging 10.6 points per game.
