Ifunanya Nwachukwu (6-2 SR forward, Lagos, Nigeria) has parted ways with the Missouri State program and has entered her name into the transfer portal.
Missouri State women’s basketball head coach Beth Cunningham announced today that Ifunanya Nwachukwu has entered the transfer portal and is parting ways with the Lady Bears program.
“We respect Ifunanya’s decision to enter her name in the transfer portal, and we wish her the best in her future endeavors and thank her for her contributions to the Lady Bear program,” said Cunningham.
Nwachukwu played in 45 games for the Lady Bears over the last two seasons, including one career start. She averaged 2.4 points and 3.8 rebounds per game in those 45 contests, while shooting 50 percent (46-for-92) from the field.
Originally from Lagos, Nigeria, Nwachukwu came to Missouri State after spending two seasons at Chipola College in Marianna, Fla.
