Auburn

Senior guard Daisa Alexander, the team’s second-leading scorer in 2018-19, “has been dealing with a shoulder injury.”

The women’s team has just one senior, but she is a good one. Daisa Alexander has scored in double figures the past two seasons and is strong defensively, but she has been dealing with a shoulder injury so getting her well is a high priority.

Maryland

Freshman guard Zoe Young recently suffered a torn ACL during practice and will miss the 2019-20 season.

Zoe Young, the USA Today Player of the Year in Iowa, will miss her freshman year with the Maryland women’s basketball team after suffering a torn ACL during a recent practice.

A spokeswoman for the program confirmed Wednesday that Young suffered the injury during a noncontact drill earlier this month.

Kansas State

Freshman guard Jada Thorpe will sit out the 2019-20 season after suffering an unspecified injury during the preseason.

Kansas State women’s basketball is down one player before the 2019-20 season even tips off. Wildcats head coach Jeff Mittie announced during the team’s media day Tuesday that true freshman guard Jada Thorpe suffered a season-ending injury in the preseason. Thorpe will sit out the 2019-20 campaign and redshirt.
