Penn State

Senior guard Jaida Travascio-Green (7.4 PPG in 2018-19) tore an ACL over the summer and is out for the 2019-20 season. This news was noted by head coach Carolyn Kieger in this video, around the 9:00 mark.

Virginia Tech

Senior guard Kendyl Brooks, daughter of head coach Kenny Brooks, will miss the 2019-20 season after undergoing hip surgery last week.

Virginia Tech senior guard Kendyl Brooks will not play in the 2019-20 season after undergoing season-ending hip surgery last week.

“We’re very disappointed,” head coach Kenny Brooks told WFXR’s David DeGuzman in an exclusive interview Monday afternoon. “Last week, we found out that Kendyl, pretty much our lone natural senior, is not going to be able to play this year.”

Rutgers

Several coaching and support staff changes announced, including the promotion of Tim Eatman to associate head coach and the naming of Michelle Edwards as assistant coach.

Head coach C. Vivian Stringer has finalized changes and additions to the Rutgers women’s basketball coaching and support staff ahead of the 2019-20 season.

Tim Eatman has been promoted to Associate Head Coach, Michelle Edwards returns to the role of Assistant Coach, Betsy Yonkman takes over as the Director of Program Administration, Operations and Scouting, Brian Shank moves into the role of Director of Video/Assistant Director of Basketball Operations, Will Abrams has been promoted to Director of Player Development, and Geoffrey Lanier has been hired as Recruiting Coordinator.

Vanderbilt

Senior guard Kaleigh Clemons-Green, the team leader in assists in 2018-19, will not play this season for an undisclosed, non-injury reason. She’s still listed on the team roster.

On Friday, White said, “Kaleigh is not participating right now in practice.” She declined to give the reason but added that Clemons-Green will “not play this year.” White said no player on the team has a major injury, including Clemons-Green.
