Seton Hall (Big East) officially announces the addition of Jocelyn Jones (6-0 RS SO guard, Richmond, VA), a North Carolina grad transfer with two years of eligibility.
Jones will look to continue a trend of transfers flourishing under Bozzella after coming to The Hall. During Bozzella’s six years at the helm of the program, four transfers have earned All-BIG EAST or All-Met honors and nine have averaged double-figures in scoring. Daisha Simmons became an honorable mention All-American after transferring to SHU and Shakena Richardson was the first WNBA draft pick in school history after joining The Hall as a grad transfer. Most recently, Desiree Elmore (Hartford, Conn.) averaged 10.3 points per game in ’18-19 after transferring to The Hall last season.

San Francisco (WCC) announced that they are adding Mikayla Williams (6-1 JR forward, Meath Park, Saskatchewan, Canada), a grad transfer from UC San Diego (currently D-II but in the process of transitioning to D-I). Williams averaged 19.3 PPG and 10.5 RPG during the 2018-19 season, earning a slew of honors:

Indiana State transfer Lynn Tamis (6-3 FR center, Amsterdam, Netherlands) has landed at Texas A&M–Corpus Christi (Southland).
Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi head women’s basketball coach Royce Chadwick has announced the addition of Lynn Tamis to the Islanders’ roster. Tamis, who will sit out the 2019-20 year due to transfer rules, is from Amsterdam, Netherlands, and played last season at Indiana State.
“We are excited to bring Lynn Tamis to the Island from the transfer portal,” said Chadwick. “She is a seasoned Division I transfer who will serve her transfer residency requirement this year. Her size and versatility will add a tremendous dimension to our team for the future.”

Wake Forest grad transfer Tyra Whitehead (6-3 JR forward, Richmond, VA) has officially signed with San José State (Mountain West), with two years of eligibility.
Whitehead’s best collegiate games came as a sophomore in 2018. She scored a
career-best 23 points against Texas State and posted two double-doubles (12 points, 12 rebounds vs. Seton Hall; 18 points, 12 rebounds vs. Appalachian State). She finished her career averaging 5.4 points and 4.1 rebounds per game.

Ohio (MAC) announces the addition of grad transfer Maddie Bazelak, who played on the Duquesne volleyball team for four seasons.
The Ohio Basketball team will add Duquesne graduate transfer Maddie Bazelak for the 2019-20 season, head coach Bob Boldon announced. Bazelak will have one season of eligibility remaining after spending four seasons on the Duquesne volleyball team.
“Maddie (Bazelak) is a winner and her competitiveness will fit seamlessly into our team culture,” Boldon said. “She is a tremendous team player whose primary goal is team success.”
