Transfer News, December 2019


Erica Haynes-Overton (5-5 JR guard, Nashville, TN) has announced that she’s transferring from East Tennessee State.

Haynes-Overton was averaging 22.8 points per game this season. She played in four games before it was announced that she had suffered a knee injury. She would presumably be able to redshirt this season and have two years of eligibility at her new school.

Sophomore forward Grace Berg, who transferred from Missouri to Drake, had her transfer waiver and appeal denied by the NCAA.

Mercedes Staples (5-10 SO point guard, Bountiful, UT) is transferring from Minnesota and will place her name in the transfer portal. Ranked #64 in the 2018 class by espnW, she averaged 3.2 PPG in her 33 games as a Gopher.
