Northern Arizona (Big Sky) picks up a grad transfer from LIU Brooklyn: Seneca Richards (5-11 JR guard, Mesa, AZ).
The Northern Arizona women’s basketball team rounded out their 2019-20 roster with the late summer addition of Seneca Richards, announced by head coach Loree Payne on Thursday. Richards, a graduate transfer from LIU Brooklyn, will be eligible to play for the Lumberjacks immediately this upcoming fall.
“Seneca is someone who we don’t quite have right now,” Payne said. “She is a pure shooter. Anyone who watched her play in high school knows she can knock down the outside shot. She has deep range, and she is a taller guard who adds an element to our team that will be really helpful this upcoming season.”
Richards, a 5-11 guard, returns to the state of Arizona after graduating Magna Cum Laude from LIU Brooklyn with her degree in psychology in just three years. Originally from Mesa where she was a two-time All-State Honorable Mention player at Red Mountain High School, Richards brings nearly 70 games of Division I experience with her to Flagstaff.
Jasmine Hale (5-9 FR guard, Cincinnati, OH) is transferring from Wisconsin, with plans to head closer to home.
