2021 Class: Recruiting News/Updates, August 2019

Coverage of the women’s basketball 2021 recruiting class: offers, commitments, decommitments, unofficial visits, recruiting updates from news sites and other sources, etc. Items listed in reverse chronological order.

Katie Keitges, 5-8 SG, Knoxville HS (IA): The Knoxville Journal-Press has an article out on Keitges’s commitment to Omaha (Summit) in early August.

Keitges commented, “The school is only a 2 hour and 45 minute drive from home, so family and friends will be able to visit and watch many games, which I am excited about! The facilities are only three years old and $94 million were put into them, so they are very nice!”

Three more prospect pages have been posted:

Kenzie Bowers, 5-10 PG, Kent City HS (MI): An MLive feature on Bowers notes that she has 15 D-I offers, although none from high majors yet.

Bowers says she does not really have a dream school, although she always liked Michigan State growing up. She does not list any favorites at this time, and that she is just trying to be patient with the process

Bowers, a 4.0 student, is just seeking the right fit – a place where she’s comfortable academically, athletically and socially, and where she can make an impact right away. Carlson also is urging her to make a decision based upon that mesh, not necessarily because of a school’s stature.

As covered in this site note on WBB Blog’s front page, prospect pages are being rolled out for the 2021 recruiting class. The first batch of pages feature these uncommitted 2021s:

Pages have also been created for Northern Iowa commit Anaya Barney (IA), South Dakota commit Cassidy Carson (MN), and Iowa commit AJ Ediger (MI).

Many more to follow.

Kristin Sterling, 5-9 G, Pikesville HS (Baltimore, MD): committed to North Carolina A&T (MEAC), their first 2021 commit.

6-1 forward Annaliese Griffin is transferring from Plainfield Central HS (IL) to Aurora Christian HS (IL).

Cassidy Carson, 6-0 G/W, Eastview HS (Apple Valley, MN): committed to South Dakota (Summit), their first 2021 commit.

Isabel Rohlfing, 6-2 F, New Covenant Academy (Springfield, MO): announced her commitment to Central Missouri (D-II). She had at least one D-I offer, from Indiana State.
