Priscilla Williams, 6-3 G, Branson HS (MO): feature article on Williams, who claims to have more than 50 offers. She plans to announce five finalists in May, visit them all, and then commit before her senior year begins. Williams is ranked in the top 20 in the 2020 class.

Ask Williams about the recruiting process, and you get the idea it isn’t intimidating to her in the least. She said she can’t put an accurate number on the amount of offers she has in hand, but said it is more than 50.

“I’m still open to everybody,” Williams said. “After my first viewing period in AAU, the first half, that’s when I will be putting my first list out, that’s when I will be narrowing it down.”

She expects to announce a list of five finalists in May, and she will take visits to all five. The goal is to commit before the start of her senior year at Branson.

Deja Kelly, 5-8 PG, Duncanville HS (TX): Oregon is expected to be in Duncanville this weekend visiting with Kelly, ranked in the top 25 in the 2020 class. Notre Dame made the trip last week.

While Kelly and Ionescu are different players – Ionescu is 5-foot-11 – and no one will be expected to come in and replace her production, the two are similar enough that Oregon projects Kelly in that role.

“That was the main thing they brought up when they spoke,” she said. “(Ionescu) won’t be there by the time I get there, so I could definitely take that role, because they need another guard to come off the pick-and-roll and make those reads – whether it’s a pass or a shot, just be able to see the whole floor and make the right play.”

Hoping to further build the relationship, Oregon is expected to visit Kelly this weekend.
