Truman State (D-II) officially announces the addition of Stephen F. Austin transfer Brioenne Burns (5-10 SO guard, Independence, MO).

Oregon officially announces the addition of Texas transfer Sedona Prince (6-7 FR center, Liberty Hill, TX). She’ll pursue immediate eligibility via a waiver application.

Due to NCAA transfer rules, Prince will have to sit out the 2019-20 season with the Ducks. Oregon is exploring a transfer waiver that will allow Prince to play immediately.

Baylor lands another grad transfer: Erin DeGrate (6-6 center, Waco, TX), who was most recently at Texas Tech and began her college career at Louisville.

Erin DeGrate has come full circle as she will return to Waco and join the Baylor women’s basketball team for the 2019-20 season, head coach Kim Mulkey announced Monday. DeGrate, a La Vega High School alumnus, will use her final season of eligibility as a graduate transfer after playing at Texas Tech the last two seasons.

DeGrate signs just days after Baylor announced the addition of Te’a Cooper as a graduate transfer from South Carolina and a year after the graduate transfer of Chloe Jackson. Jackson was second-team All-Big 12 and the Final Four MVP in Baylor’s championship run.

All three players now, including DeGrate, have in common that Baylor is their third school. DeGrate played a Louisville as a freshman in 2015-16, sat out due to transfer rules in 2016-17 and played the last two seasons at Texas Tech. Jackson played at NC State, LSU and closed at Baylor while Cooper played at Tennessee, South Carolina and will finish with the Lady Bears.

Angelina Hammond (5-11 FR guard, Hopkins, MN) has entered the transfer portal, following her freshman year at Siena.

Siena Women’s Basketball rising sophomore guard Angelina Hammond has announced her intention to transfer out of the program. The Hopkins, Minnesota native has entered the NCAA Transfer Portal.

“We wish Angelina all the best going forward as she pursues other opportunities,” said head coach Ali Jaques.

Hammond missed the entirety of the 2018-19 season due to injury. She was a two-time All-State and three-time All-Conference selection at Hopkins High School in Minnetonka, Minnesota.

Hammond departs Siena in good academic standing.

Erin DeGrate (6-6 JR center, Waco, TX) rumored to be grad-transferring from Texas Tech to Baylor.

The Baylor Lady Bears are going to add two intriguing graduate transfers for the 2019-20 season as they look to defend their national title.  It has been rumored that Texas Tech post Erin DeGrate will join the program for the 2019-20 season, but nothing has officially been announced yet. The more recent news is the addition of All-SEC second team guard Te’a Cooper from South Carolina which the Lady Bears officially announced Thursday afternoon.

UMass (A-10) officially announces the addition of Siena transfer Maddie Sims (6-2 JR forward, Mount Laurel, NJ).

University of Massachusetts women’s basketball and head coach Tory Verdi announced on Friday that the Minutewomen have added Maddie Sims to the roster. Sims is a 6-foot-2 post from Mount Laurel, New Jersey and joins the program after three seasons (2016-19) at Siena. Under NCAA transfer rules, Sims can practice at UMass immediately and is eligible to play one season (2020-21) with the Maroon and White.

“I’m extremely excited to announce the addition of Maddie Sims,” said Verdi. “She is a very talented post player who can score. She will add experience and depth at the front court position.”
