Long Island University women’s basketball head coach Rene Haynesannounced the addition of three players for the 2019-20 season. Paulani Tarawa (Sydney, Australia), Mia Perkins (Houston, Texas) and Zhané Williams (Jersey City, N.J.) have signed to play for the Sharks next season.
Esmery Martinez, 6-0 W, Hamilton Heights Christian Academy (Chattanooga, TN): is on a visit to Texas. She had signed with Mississippi State but asked for her release earlier this month.

Esmery Martinez, the No. 13 forward in the class of 2019, has signed an Athletic Scholarship Agreement (ASA) to play basketball for the University of Texas, head coach Karen Aston announced Monday. Martinez will be eligible to play for the Longhorns beginning with the 2019-20 season.
Martinez, a 6-foot-2 forward, is a native of Hato Mayor del Rey in the Dominican Republic. She played high school basketball at Hamilton Heights Christian Academy in Chattanooga, Tenn.
Martinez is known as a strong defender and defensive stopper, in addition to her ability to get to the rim offensively. During her prep career at Hamilton Heights, she averaged 18.3 points per game, 14.3 rebounds per game and 5.9 blocks per game.

Mount St. Mary’s (NEC) announces the addition of Mikayla Watkinson, a 5-9 point guard out of Brisbane, Australia.
