2019 Class: Recruiting News/Updates, March 2019

Ta’Shonna Wright-Gaskins, 5-9 G, Governor Mifflin HS (Shillington, PA): A Reading (PA Eagle feature on Wright-Gaskins indicates that she has some D-I offers.

“She just wants to win,” Clark said. “She doesn’t go out there and try to take 50 million shots. The difference is Ta’Shonna’s going to make the right read now. She has matured so much as an individual.”

What was missing for Wright-Gaskins was polish.

The senior can handle the ball well enough to run an offense. She sees the floor. She can make that mid-range jumper and the occasional 3.

Colleges have noticed.

Wright-Gaskins is sorting through Division I offers and will likely play point guard at the next level.

The senior is averaging 10.7 points, second-most on Mifflin, eight rebounds, three steals and 1.5 blocks. During the county and district playoffs, she has averaged 14.9 points.
